a couple of weeks ago I saw some posts from members showing there desktops, anyway I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I can put pictures of my xterm on my web site. Thanks

Load the gimp. In the file menu you will find Aquire > Screen Shot, this has an option to caputere a window. Select it, click OK, then click the window you want to capture. Save the image as a png, jpeg, or gif.
