Of Mixed Messages, Linux and XP

I think Michael Tiemann's position on this is intelligent, Miguel de Icaza's comments exactly spot on - while Rob Malda's seems obtuse and damaging to the credibility of Linux supporters - what do you think?

I wish that I could simply boycott Microsoft products but I can't. Everywhere I look someone is using a windoze product of some sort.

Tiemanns comments are very good, well thought and so true.

XP has made no difference to me. And probably never will. Even a diehard windoze friend of mine has snubbed his copy of XP in favour of win2000. And he always has the latest version of a Microsoft product.

Somewhere along the line we have to forget what we know about windows and simply move on, and leave Microsoft in our wake.

Oh yeah, XP sucks, slackware rulz! (Thats for you jharris!)
