thumbs up, that's a really nice website.
it works without javascript (except for the shopping thingy) or any cross-site requests, and seems to do the right thing for different screen sizes (aka responsive design).
the only thing doesn't work is the Schedules link (connection refused).

A lot has happened since I last posted here. Things went from slammed to turbo slammed. In case anyone who was on this thread is keeping up with it and was wondering what happened, the short of it is:

1. I had to have a pow wow with the owner.
a. We came to an understanding that to get things to work, some services are going to have to be paid for and some equipment and replacement components must be purchased.
b. I stopped everything else I was doing at work and hunted down every single hemorrhaging point of the cash flow. I pointed them out and they've been plugged.
c. I found them a new building. They're moving into it soon. This means no more of my being a plumber, electrician, tile man, carpenter, etc etc..
2. After these things where addressed, I've gone back to exclusively repairing the equipment and developing the new way of computing for the spa. That's what I've been up to.

I want to say thank you, so much, to everyone who helped me out in this and every other thread during the crunch. It helped more than you know!

Re: Payment. Square has an on-line setup for internet purchases that can be linked to their software in the brick-and-mortar POS system.
I've never seen a Square POS that wasn't using Apple, tho...I could be wrong about that. (Not that there's anything wrong with iPads for that purpose, other than the cost)
Of course, one could set up the on-line store without changing the in-house system. Check them out. I use them for very infrequent credit card customers...no monthly fees, reasonable-enough percentage.

I'll also second the outsourcing of email.
Look into what Tucows/OpenSRS has, too. I am an email provider, but am considering migrating my customer base to Tucows. Managing (and protecting) an email server is, as has been said, a lot of work.

Just a note about keeping email & website outsourced :
It's notoriously difficult to keep bad guys out of both, so you are best off keeping those 2 things done by people who know how.

You'll see what I'm on about...
(Its good to know enough to be able to have a sensible conversation with the guys who do it for you, but its a big jump from there to doing it yourself.)
