Synchronize 'Linux Office Suite' with Microsoft Exchange server (Outlook mail...)

Hello,
I installed linux on a small machine, and would like that it behaves like a normal PDA with activesync.
I would like that my linux emails, calendar, ... are synchronized automatically when I run a infrared connection between my notebook, having windows and microsoft office, and my other mini one.

microsoft windows does nice stuffs, time to time:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=nl

thanks
Is that possible to have that too in linux ?

exchnange connectivity or sync?

Hi,

are you wanting to use a linux client with exchange or be able to sync a local mail system with a PDA or a linux mail server with PDA?

linux client to exchange
========================
i used evolution with its exchange plugin to connect my linux client with the companys exchange server, for me it worked well. it has a wizard to set it up. basicaly you point it at the OWA on the exchange server

Local mail lwith PDA
====================
depends on what pda you are using, i never got my windows mobile device to work, but i did get a sonyericsson mobile to work. again with evolution(very similar to outlook).
configure your phone to connect with bluetooth and then install the syncml plugin in evolution and syncml, configure the syncml to sync evolution with your mobile phone or syncml compatible device. syncml is really straight forward to configure once you install it.
i think palm devices are well supported on linux ...but thats just as i have seen gpilot etc.

Linux mail server with PDA
==========================
this one i have never done but, i have read of groupware programs (egroupware) that has email in it and uses the syncml plugin to sync with a pda ... this could be similar to above.

i hope this helps
