anyone remember this game? i'm playing it rite now. in world 5. remember the level with the dude on the sock? you're supposed to be able to steal his sock somehow and be able to hop around in it. that way you can hop on the flower dudes that try to bite you and they can't do anything. yeah, you now what i'm talkin bout. anyway, i can't remember how to get the sock. if i jump on the guy, he just dies. i wanna kill the guy in the sock and keep the sock. any chance at all anyone remembers this? i'm sure someone remembers...

You have to hit him from below, jump while he is on a block above you.

Memories. I've got that for the Super Nintendo in Super Mario All-Stars. Unfortunately, the batter-backed save no longer works very well. I was a cheater: I'd keep going back to World 1 to get more magic wings so that I could beat World 8 more easily. You know, there's a doctored video that shows someone beating SMB 3 for the Japanese Famicom in about eleven minutes. I think you can get it from download.com.

Nah I dont mean gameboy advanced I mean gameboy color.I stopped keeping up with the new gaming devices...I rarely play games anyway...I really only use one gameing console and its called...an Intel P3. I really only play the games that I make.
I just didnt realize that they had a number 3!

are you sure?

I highly doubt it, unless someone made it independently. I am 100% sure that nintendo never made one

i cant take a screenshot myself as i havnt got sdl installed and so i cant run zsnes but here are some shots of it, and it was made by nintendo

<edit>

here we go, found this on the same site

from website linked above
Super Mario World really was a success story before even leaving the shop. It was the fourth in a series of games that had already been a huge success on the NES system, and with the Super NES's extra power and better graphical capabilities, this game was always going to be good.

that is partly correct

many people did refer to SMW as Super Mario Brothers 4, but it actually isn't, the Super Mario Bros. was exclusive a trilogy for NES. Super Mario world is it's own series.
