subscribing to a linux mag. help me!!

Hi peepz
My PC World subscription is about to end(its a boring mag) so i wuz considering subscribing to a linux mag. I live here in Canada and im pretty sure most of the mags available in US are also available here. I dont even know the name of a single linux mag out there and I dont know which one is the best. I basically want a mag that gives DVD's( preferably) or CD's with it and has lots of guides and stuff like that. So can you mention some names and maybe tell me a little bit about them or whats their reputation etc etc like.

Thanks

Linux format is totally the best, in my opinion. It is really good value for money (in the UK, at least), you get the dvd edition, it is pretty good for beginers and experts. I get it every month, 13 editions a year for 45£ . Plus, it is posted to you before if goes in the shops!!

good luck looking

well yes linux format is pretty good but its really expensive here ,its better to use the net. but i would really like something like that printed here in Canada or US coz i enjoy reading and i cant read much sitting in front of the screen.

I would also recommend Linux Format to you as I find it to be a very good read and the tutorials have helped me with various problems that I had when I first started using Linux such as how to compile software and access devices.

Another good thing is that you get a lot of software with the discs that are included with the magazine, with the DVD version you get various distros on them and maybe some extra software that isn't included on the normal CD's.

Hope this helps.
