Stolen bicycle

I recently bought a car.

And then someone stole my bike in front of my apartment.

I bought the bike for $40 from a Good Will store.

No big loss for the bike per se.

But I had customized the bike with a 6 Volt SLA battery, 3 headlights, and a bright brake light.

I hope the person really needed a bike. :-)

I'm sorry this happened, Andy.

I've prayed that God would have your bike set back to you "unharmed."

Regards...

Obviously they've been staking you out and realized that you don't need the bike anymore now that you have a car.

Oh and uh ... make sure that car is locked at night ...

I'm sorry. Not too long ago, my car was broken into. Someone rifled through my CDs but did not take any. I did not know if I should be relieved or offended.

I'd be "smug" about that.

That's a good point of view to have. It does stink that your bike got stolen, but do keep an eye out for it...never know when you might see it, and be able to re-acquire it. Depending on need, though, I might let it go, if the poor sap who stole it was really down on their luck. However, if it was some jackass who stole it for quick money or for fun, then I *WILL* have my bike back, thanks.

The hogs tooth necklace I have on my rearview mirror in the car may deter some....the car alarm blinky-light works for more, I think.

a few years back some A-holes cut the 1.5 inch steal cable around the HUGE oak tree and stole the 6 bikes locked to it

Thanks.

I feel that I will end up with an even better bike.

Search craigslist, it's probably on there right now.

If it was, it would have been repainted etc. :-)

I got a Next mountain bicycle at Walmart. Better than what I had and the manager knocked $10 off the price. It is also lighter and the brakes stop on a dime.
