stinky, smelly kword
dammit, why does KWord have to actaully go and be good AND useful... certainly better that starwriter (well, it does everything and it's native) and abiword. I'm confident that abiword will rival kword within a year tho...
ok i'll let them off with that one, but EVERYTHING else to do with kde is still rubbish! |
LOL What were you doing in KDE in the first place then? Ok so you needed to use a word processor and kword was the ONLY choice? Hmmm...Me thinks you like KDE! We always hate the ones we love! ;)
|
pah, no i just knew star and abi both sucked for their own reasons, and i didn't want to go back to windows, so i installed QT, and koffice, and have to admit that it's a pretty good program. i've certainly not got kde itself installed tho...
but then since i've deserted gnome, mayb ei should hate that... but i like gtk, so i think i have to let gnome off really... |
Now that's odd... I recently installed KDE for the first time and have totally sworn off Gnome for it. It reminds me a lot of having a Mac without having paid $1200 in Industrial design.

I think KDE is nicer and prettier than GNOME, but not as fast.
Anyway, while I like koffice, I am forced to use Staroffice because it will run on my Windows based machines at work, where I do all of my document printing so I dont have to use my own printer :) |
nah, i think they're both mining now... compared to black box
http://cakenet.dynu.com/bb.jpg now that's cool, no? |
Admitedly that's pretty nice. 1024? Small monitor, or just not a fan of nickel sized icons. Also, I noticed Trickykid in the corner of your screen. Am I the only anti-chat-monkey?

ooh chance to brag..!! heh, no that's on my second monitor :D:D:D i'm not too greedy, one big monitor is enough for me... |
yeah, we can be a bit cruel talking about members.. or I mean newbies.. but some members that have over 500 posts but are still newbies.. if you catch what I am saying.

My, interesting thread 'tis become. Well, myself included as fair game I can't say much. =) But as for a desktop environement preference, I prefer Ice or XFCE honestly. Simple and small. As for your link, I wish I could see it, but I can't seem to get the server connection...
