Steps for starting open source project [ideas]?

Evening, everyone.

I am asking this question from a position of a person having little to no advanced coding skills but able to generate very good ideas that can really get some acceptence in the open source community. Some of my ideas introduce new ideas some of them reinvent and improve on old ones but I always find myself at a limiter when I want to begin the projects because my coding is somewhat of an impediment. I have not dedicated the time to become a fantastic coder. Of course I am learning C as I write this but as for now let's assume I am a beginner coder but ready to build a team of experienced coders and people who can get this project moving forward.

I do understand money is an issue, and I know something of this scope can take years but all that into consideration, I guess the best question is how do I begin? I'm sitting at home and going to work during the day and some evenings. I dont know the first step to starting a simple software project, let alone a revolutionary world changer... so how should I get this thing moving?

I suppose you could start by reading some of this stuff: http://sourceforge.net/community/for....php?id=6&page

First you need to decide if you have a good idea. A really good one. There are many simply 'good' ideas, but not enough people to code them... If you're sure you have it, then start moving forward.

why not post your idea on LQ in the programming section or look for a Linux Group in your area and go to some meetings and see if any one is interested. As far as money you would probably be surprised that most people would help just because or maybe they too need a project that they can use to build experience.
