I used to watch Star Trek a lot, I stopped about 2 years ago.
The new show sucks, and I've outgrown the series. Most things I see them do now I find ridiculous. All the technobable is no loger, "Neat", it's, "Please get a physics book" A lot of the things are impossible in physics.
Aside from that, the new one sucks so much it's pointless to watch. None of the shows seem that futuristic anymore to me.

actually on tech tv there was a show wherein they discussed the type of things they show on movies like star trek and star wars and wether or not they are possible. it was quite interesting. it is a shame you did not have a chance to see it before posting your reply so as not to appear so uninformed.

I like Star Trek, original series, Voyager, Enterprise, movies. I read one book. Can't remember the name but William Shatner wrote it.

Not into Harry Potter at all

I've read a lot of physics books, half the people in my family hold PhDs in physics and math (not exaggerating). I trust my parents and grandparents more when it comes to physics then some guy on techTV.

I've read Hawking's book on the physics of Star Trek, among many other books. I wouldn't say I'm uninformed when it comes to this.

Harry Potter --------> kinda cool. I liked the movies.

Star Trek ---------> never really liked 'em at all. Don't care for 'em.

Star Wars ----------> only like the originals from 1979, 1980, etc....

It's a shame that my friend, Emmet L. Brown, doesn't post on this site anymore. If there's anyone out there who's into Star Trek like crazy, it's him. The guy has every little detail of Star Trek in his head. It drives me nuts! I myself don't like it so much, though... It's so annoying to listen to him rambling about these stuff, so I do the same to him by Harry Potter, where our views are reversed...

Cheers,
Jerry
