Somehow involveing linux with a senior research project

Hello everyone!

I am going into the 12 grade next year, and I am required to do a senior research project for a class. I really want to do something involveing linux, however, I have not been able to come with up a suitable idea.

So I was wonderning If anyone had a good idea. IF you do, please post it

Thanks!

Anthony

One thing I had was something about Can normil windows users make the change into linux, and see what my mom, dad, sis, friends use windows for,and then try and have them learn how to do that in linux. Or something to that effect.

Welcome to Linux Questions.

Really, if you're planning on doing a Linux Project, it should be an area of computes that interests you. What do you find interesting? How much work are you intending on putting in?

Get an idea of the area (networking, desktop use, serving, etc) you want to tackle and then take a look at what is out there.

Find out what Winders and Switches/Routers your School uses and recreate the whole thing (maybe in microcosm), entirely on free software, 1 switch, and a Pentium 1.

Cheers,

Finegan
