those that die from overdosing on opiates are getting their Darwin Awards, they are doing humanity a favor by removing themselves from the gene pool, it is a hard cold fact, and from the videos i seen of people found dead it is a gruesome and sad sight to see, hard drugs is a bad way to achieve a cheap thrill that is not so cheap considering the price they pay in monetary and the cost to their health and lives lost
i think the opiate problem could be lessened by legalizing less harmful drugs like marijuana the US gov should legalize marijuana federally and encourage the states to legalize it too, make the laws similar to alcohol, no smoking while driving, no smoking in public, just buy your marijuana and take it home and smoke it at home, and marijuana has some benefits, it is a mild pain reliever much like aspirin, and also relieves insomnia, and people who have seizures have found relief using marijuana too, and most of all nobody ever died from consuming marijuana
