China Frets over Swing from Power Crunch to Glut

BEIJING - China may have more power than it needs in just two years, as runaway construction to prevent a repeat of last year's crippling electricity shortages turns a crunch into oversupply, officials said on Wednesday.

In order to use PCs, everyone needs power. With oil supplies dimnishing this is a good move. Thanks to Electrical Enginners. Others need to follow this.

So you are advocating that more nations need to build Coal fired Power stations? That is absurd.

Even the Chinese know that coal fired power stations are bad for the environment. They even state this in the article you linked to.

I suggest you read a book about electrical power generation before suggesting the building of more coal fired power plants.

For sure Coal causes pollution. For now we need to do something to fall back on. Have a fall back while working on a better future alternative.
