I am a recent Skype convert. My problem is that my line out on my soundcard runs to my stereo system If I want to use headhones with Skype, I have to either [a] destroy the arrangement of my desk to get to the back of my box, unplug the line out and plug in the headphones or [b] run my headphones from my amplifier, which is at the other side of the room. I have to plug the headphones in aswell. My first thought was that I should buy a device that splits the line out and allows you to select headphones or speakers -- so if I get/make a call, I can just press a button to use the headphones. The downside with this is that i might not hear an incoming call if I'm playing music. My second iidea was to get a second sound card and use one card for multimedia and one card for Skype/Gnomemeeting etc. I realise that, on the scale of things, this is trivial but the choices were whizzing around my mind at three this morning. Clearly I haven't got enough to do at the moment.

What do you do?
