sig wars

ok... it occured to me that i've never bothered to try the poll feature on this forum... but, i couldn't think of anything pointless enough to warrant taking a poll on. but, i think i've got it :

who's got the best sig?

trusouthrnplaya 09-04-2001 03:29 PM

wazzzup wit dis? I gotta be a moderator to get my sig put up there? :p

CragStar 09-04-2001 03:35 PM

Great Idea!

Sig's are a great way of passing time reading one anothers. On more than one occasion I end up reading the sig before the post!

In my eyes there are no winners..... apart from me!

hey :)... they're not all mods. besides... if i was trying to suck up to the people with power on this forum, i'd have included jeremy in there.

hmm... that's a thought...

If you want some serios sig-surfing go to slashdot and read the user comments.

Somewhere I've got a list of sigs that were noteworthy. Unfortunately I didn't get the usernames :(

:) just found this site after a bit of looking... coolsig.com

i've just been browsing it for a few minutes... but i found one i really like :

"The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners."

my new fave:D

"When their numbers dwindled from 50 to 8, the other dwarves began to suspect Hungry."

If you want some interesting and amusing sig's in your email's and you use KDE then go to Kmail---> settings---> configure kmail---> identity---> use a signature from a file---> /usr/games/fortune and check the box "the file is a program" Every time you start a new email you'll get a random quote.

My fave spod one i read was...

To understand recursion, you must first understand recursion.

Hmm... seems ppl generally remember me here... not sure wether to laugh or cry... For the record i'd like to add that i wear girls clothes, nail varnish and eyeliner, DJ hardcore indie nights, and erm... well that'll do.

[I'm bored... has anyone else ever spent five minuets flicking the mouse scrollwheel up and down as fast as possible, and then watch and wait while the browser cathes up? no.. oh...]

as far as fortune goes, i made my own fortune file, with song lyrics instead of very not funny jokes, and stuck a line in a script to pipe the output to a file, and then use that sig in pine. kmail is very very sucky.
