I was going to start a separate thread, but here's what I have found so far:
- Win10 won't install after Linux on gpt (see above).
- Win10 installed as the first O/S breaks gpt. It installs using the (protected) MBR and doesn't clear the EFI header, so all the Linux tools treat the disk as broken. Easy to fix, but the Win10 partitions don't show on fdisk/parted.
- Win10 "repair boot" doesn't (I erased the boot-loader section of the MBR).
- dual boot using grub works fine - os-prober finds it as "Recovery" in /dev/sda1, but it boots Win10 fine.

My is if you need a windows' OS for certain situations or for work, then use it.

I personally don't use windows and I'm happy I have no situations where I need to use windows. I do just fine with gnu/linux.
