sharing the new non-Amazon digital music seller I discovered

I have at least once before started a thread looking for places to buy digital music, because all I knew was Amazon and I don't like doing business with Amazon; so I should mention the site I discovered this summer, in case anyone hasn't heard of it: 7digital.com. It has most of what I would be interested in buying, and at least some of the music is available in flac. I wonder how old this seller is. Researching it...hmm. British; 2004.

Yup, this is my goto digital site. Like you say, you can find pretty much what you want.

Clearly, after seventeen years the world largely hasn't heard of it. I've never seen the company even flashing any ads; I believe I found it by duckducking mp3 sellers.

7digital might have a lot of mainstream music of the present & past.
For less known artists (also present and past), I highly recommend Bandcamp. It is both commercial and non-commercial, meaning artists can decide whether they want to sell their content, or allow free downloads, or both.
I have found some true gems on there: new, unknown, old, known.
