No, but they do have powerful jaws and long, pointed canine fangs designed for piercing through bone. Leaving the head untouched looks more like a gesture of contempt to me.

But they WILL crack bones for the marrow and that must be just as hard.

you ever eat a chicken? marrow is around soft bone , go knock on a cows forhead to get an idea of what thick skulled really means.

maybe if he did have opposable thumbs he would have suck it on stick for everyone to see, made it his trophy catch even.
