to hide documents in windows
may be in windows XP

Right-click the file in explorer...click properties...check hidden...click okay.
Is this what you want? or are you trying to password protect files?

What exactly do you mean by this? Do you mean when you are running your Linux system or your Windoze system? Which distro are you using?

If you're using anything over 2000 you can elect to encrypt files. Properties > advanced > encrypt. Then hide the files/directory at your leisure. This way you have double protection for your porn collection.;)

It should be noted that this method is not a guarantee. Someone looking in "Folder Options" might find an option that helps discover hidden files and folders. :D
