Secure user setup in Windows 10, is it possible ?

I haven't dealt with Windoze for quite some time, and I'm used to the Linux model where you run as a regular user and use su or sudo to gain admin privileges when you need them.

So, herein lies the problem, how do you do this on Windoze 10, if it is possible ?

Problems I've encountered:
1) I can create regular users, but I have to re-install some programs because they don't seem to be available to these users (Chrome is one example)
2) Many programs are very poorly designed and require admin privileges to run. As such, you just have to keep inputting the password each time you run these, which is stupid.

What do you guys do, those of you who still have to maintain Windoze systems. I haven't maintained them in years, but I now have to.

I feel your pain. I've had to start with Windows again for a client of mine, and will say that Windows 10 is far better than 7, but still clunky (to me).

I wound up making user-groups on the Windows boxes, and shoving users into them, then assigning rights to them with the group policy editor. These links helped me:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...#1TC=windows-7
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/8739/...-in-windows-7/
http://www.softwareok.com/?seite=faq-Windows-10&faq=26

This doesn't take into account anything you may have going on with active directory, so your mileage may vary.

Thanks. Seems like a lot of work to try and get it to a quasi-secure state.
