just found out? i was using riscos 14 years ago in primary school. nasty, useless and so so limited. There's all the good theory about risc based operation over cisc based, but back then at least it was pretty useless... just pipedream and some funny spinning logo animation...
it was only available on acorn computers, which was always akin to a BBC machine with a nicer keyboard. only ever used in schools. but i may be wrong (yeah ... right!)
