Question Regarding OpenSUSE Evaluation Edition

I just noticed on the OpenSUSE site that the Evaluation Edition is not time limited, after for the last eight months thinking that it was a sort of trial version of OpenSUSE and a way for Novell to get commercials in for their retail version. So, is the Evaluation version still OpenSUSE, with the only difference being it has proprietary components? Or are there commercials from Novell trying to get the user to purchase the retail version? And, if it isn't time limited, is it limited in any other way?

I understand it is just a version that includes some proprietary items, and is "normal" in every other way.
