Forgive my ignorance but doesn't the presidential ballot allow people to write in the name of a preferred candidate and vote for him/her?

Arrow

From what I've seen in life the average person doesn't believe in getting work done. Only if we put effort together which is not what voting for a person does... then there's the debates on what "work" matters,,, go ahead let few decide?

Add: I love the argument that we must choose between a douche or turd sandwich but we don't must.

Though voting forms come in different styles in different states. So I know what you mean.

The actual odds of a "write-in" candidate receiving even a plurality of the vote is nil.

However, four names will appear on the ballot of every State this year.

Some of my fellow republicans are saying that they wish Pence was the presidential nominee instead of Mr. " foul mouthed " Trump!! Some more cartoons:

Bill Clinton is a documented rapist! "Well, at this point, what difference does it make?"

The republicans that are howling about this are the RINOs who sell out to the democrats every chance they get. This is like turning on the lights and seeing all the cock-roaches scurrying around the floor.

For those of you following along at home, the election is going into the last month and Cankles Clinton's campaign is going into full on panic mode. The full-on charge by the people who have everything to lose if Trump does win shows how many of them are also in full panic mode.

"And why aren't I fifty point ahead, you might ask"

In the last few weeks since they all proclaimed she won the first "debate" we've seen them try the "Trump hates women, see what he did to that poor beauty queen, Alicia Machado." Even CNN mocked her gaining weight after she won. Then there was that thing about driving the car during an attempted murder, and threatening to kill a sitting judge down in her homeland. Ooopps! The story didn't move the polls.

Next up was the old tried and trued method of "show us your taxes!". Some one went to great lengths to illegally obtain a copy of Trump's tax return from what, 20-something years ago? That shows Trump dared to LEGALLY write off huge losses against his income. THE HORROR! /sarc But then Bill was president, Barack Frank Marshall Davis, Jr. has been a senator and is the president, and Cankles was also a senator. What did any of them do to change this "unfair" tax law? BTW, even measly little Deplorable Me has loss carry forward on my taxes. Uh, ooopps, again! This tax revelation didn't move the polls.

So, now we're back to the only other arrow in Cankles' quiver, "Trump hates women". That's also been a great, big, YAAAWWWWNNN! Trump is crude, no doubt. Where did Milk-toast Mitt and John McCain get being exactly what their opponents wanted them to be? They lost, and people noticed that. Trump is a street fighter. People see that as a strength, and that's who the people voted for. Trump. Trump was not chosen by the Media. Trump was not chosen by the Republican Party. Trump was not chosen by the US government bureaucracy. Trump was elected by the people to be their candidate.

Maybe, just maybe, because there is only a slight hope in hell of it ever happening. Maybe the next debate will talk about real issues. Naw, the powers in charge would never let Cankles look bad by having to answer unscripted questions.

Sounds right.

With the reality-check that these people now are now around 18 percent of the probability on fivethirtyeight's election forecast. I don't think Trump's opponents are the ones in "panic mode" right now.

Trump was elected by the people to be their candidate.

And once installed into the office of President of the United States; Donald Trump will continue to be Donald Trump and shaft everybody!! What will the rest of humanity resort to to deal with Trump??

Yes.

And while it's technically true that the Republican primaries involved voting by citizens (I'm not American; I just looked it up), I think it's more accurate to describe Trump as self-appointed.

I'll leave you to google the speculation on who that "some one" [sic] was, but if the speculation is correct then it wasn't illegally obtained.
