Wait, so I am just now processing this. He did not seem like the partying time, no alcohol or drugs - eccentric maybe, but didn't go down the medical path like Michael Jackson. Whether there was some kind of underlying health issue, thats up to the layers/doctors to reveal in time though it is a shock, but there it is. The only one thing that does not discriminate between rich or poor - probably doesn't matter how good your health is either, is death.
I suspect now just like the death of Michael Jackson, there will be a major surge in Prince album sales and other works done by him.
So per news sources a concert was cancelled due to him being ill, but what kind of illness it was not specified. By his appearance alone, he did not seem the type to consume any alcohol, or do any kind of illicit drugs.

In that context, I'd say that "partying" meant "dancing." I was going to parties all the time (up in the Midwest) back when Prince started releasing music. To us, it wasn't even a party until you started gettin' everybody out on the floor. Most of those parties, drugs/alcohol were not allowed inside at all. I wonder if some of y'all might know what I'm talkin' about!
I hope we don't hear hear the words "exhaustion" or "pneumonia"...
It is still speculation at this point, autopsy is most likely completed by now. There is still a toxicology test to be done though. Reports also indicated that he was 'bouncing' between sudden illness and recovery; so only the doctors will be able to provide an answer. I am not qualified since I have no knowledge of medicine, but I am also curious what kind of illness or condition would cause this sort of 'back-and-forth' between recovery and illness and then recovery and then death. That is really bizarre.

Thats what I meant; the usual 'rockstar' parties involving massive amounts of alcohol and illicit drugs.

You mean if it wasn't drugs?
Being an ex-dope fiend, I can say that his recent reported behavior is certainly suspect.

The toxicology will report whatever drugs where in his system. For all we know he could have had a reaction to antibiotics and had a reaction. He recently cancelled a concert and ended up in the hospital, so for all we know the doctors may have had to prescribe something that may have probably exacerbated his health in an adverse way.
Again, toxicology will confirm or disprove any speculation of illicit drugs unless of course he may have combined his medicine with other substances, but still he was not known for consuming alcohol so...
As far as I know, Prince was a pretty straight-ahead person in real life, who didn't play games with his own body. (He also had a mild form of epilepsy since birth.) We can wait for the facts: the toxicology report, the other lab work, and the physical examination. There are plenty of musicians about which I'd assume, "yeah, drugs ...," but this man is was not one of them.
Again that is only part of the puzzle, such as any damage to lungs, or heart, etc, but toxicology results will list what substances were present when he died. Unfortunately toxicology will take much longer than an autopsy. Weeks.
Didn't know he was still doing concerts. Sad that people will speculate and make it a media circus. I also feel bad that someone passed away at a young age. Good writer, and performer.
