I have to admit that I am perplexed by the " Libertarians " who espouse some wisdom about politics and human nature as well as about personal liberty; yet they nominate Gary Johnson as their presidential candidate in 2016!!
I thought this comical:

Yes! I thought people calling themselves libertarians would be inspired by thinkers like Lysander Spooner, but Johnson's just got a nasty dose of Ayn Rand.
When you read that "political candidates spend billions of [corporation-contributed] dollars on political campaigns," always remember what they are spending the money on:
The MediaPropaganda
These companies pwn 100% of what you hear on radio, on television, and in publications of any sort. Needless to say, the owners of these properties will never bite the hand that feeds them.
But what it cannot control is the people's new-found ability to talk directly among themselves. As, in fact, we are doing here.
The things he say are certainly getting more and more cult-like, but personally, I haven't actually heard Jim Jones talk. I think he sounds more and more like Eric Cartman.
Also: data destruction was an issue in my country's last election too:
A-n-y-t-h-i-n-g to keep you revolted, polarized, and entertained ... all at the same time.
A-n-y-t-h-i-n-g to keep 100% of your attention focused on "their two" candidates for the highest political office in the land.
... and to forget that there are four.
Yes there are to be four on the ballot and no one knows just how many votes Gary Johnson and Jill Stein are going to get!! Although it is not probable; this election might end up without a " winner " and the politicians would put in " their president "!! I hear more and more people saying that they could never vote for Ms Clinton or Mr. Trump!!
The Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump voters are still angry and not going anywhere; either change or oppression lays ahead for the United States!!
