Question How does one md5sum a CD in Windows?

I am looking for a free and hopefully opensource program for Windows that allows one-click MD5-checksums to be created of CDs (NOT of ISO files).

This program will make it possible for us to distribute burned Linux CDs to libraries and other institutions while reducing the risk of people borrowing legit CDs and returning compromised CDs (a major concern).

Does anyone know of such a program, or would be willing to write one?

Thank you for taking the time to post, but these solutions are not quite what I'm looking for.

The goal is not to MD5 an iso file, it's to MD5 a CD and compare the md5 against one published on a website. And I don't think you can treat a CD like a file in Windows(?).

The ideal solution is a program with one big button (the ultimate user interface!) labeled "Verify CD" that outputs an MD5 sum in a copyable text box.

I assume all CD burning apps have this functionality built in (to verify after the burn) but I don't know of an OSS one that I can take code from!
