Just curious. I haven't seen so few posts ever at LQO. Just wondered.

I've seen some of the stuff on the first page, that is over a week old with no posts. That never used to happen.

Is this because school is out or what?

Peace :D

Its because everybody is going back to Windows XP. :D

ROFLMAO! Not likely. I was just wondering as I was looking at the "total registered members: 33000+" and I was wondering if Jeremy deletes anyone say who hasn't posted in a year, and therefore the numbers are skewed. Just a thought..

That brings back memories :D

Members aren't deleted.

And Whitehat, its usually slower on weekends than during the weekdays. Thursday we had over 1200 posts and over 975 on Friday.. posts aren't down, they're staying steady and normal right now.

So there have been 30000+ people who have at one time or another, registered at the site? That kinda takes the "bang" out of the numbers. I know that I always forget my username/password if I haven't visited a site in a year or so. I like the statistics at the top of each page, but to make it more meaningful shouldn't it measure the number of active users, like those who have posted in the last year. I am not saying to delete the others, just change the statistical inference.

God I have too much time on my hands.... :-)

You might want to post this to Website Suggestions. Jeremy likes to create little stats groups, most from random suggestions, all the time, he might like that one too.

Offhand, post count leaped with the LNO influx, then settled back to normal growth. We're still on track for 400k in August, post count doubling every six months or so.

Cheers,

Finegan
