yeah.... well... things tend to die. nobody cries for the fish when a hurricane disrupts their system -- people only cry for their homes.

and nobody cares about the countless bugs you kill driving around in your car...

but find a cute animal, and someone'll become an activist to try and save it...

Penguins are cute?

This one is kinda complicated. I'd agree that if not for humans the environment would take care of itself, and on that hand we should leave it alone. OTOH, they've invested 25 years of time and money into studying this particular area, so it would be a bit of a waste to let all that effort starve to death.

Then again ... If studying nature is the point, and nature put that berg there, well ... study what the penguins do to survive.
