I like the design of the XBOX 360 the best out of all 3 consoles but I like the potential of the PS3 the most. I'll be getting both!!

Very nice refrigerator:

The controls looks great, kinda like a tiara . And I bet it will have a lot of great games as Final Fantasy too, where you start playing as a tough, heartless mercenary who don't give a damn to what's happening, but eventually saves the day

I like the three color option, but the controller looks like crap. I'll probably be getting the xbox 360. I don't like the revolution at all. and I read somewhere that FF XI will be available for xbox 360

You just can't pass up an opportunity to take a poke a Final Fantasy fans, can you?

Oh, well. Since Sony got the rights to FF, things have gone down hill. The games for PlayStation were Ok, but didn't live up to the standard set by the old Nintendo classics...

It has been going down the hill since FFI... period. There has always been better games around, even from Square, as Chrono Trigger and it's sequel, Chrono Cross, for example. On NES, perhaps it was one of the best RPG's for it's time, but I would still prefer an adventure as Zelda instead.

Somewhere there's a group of hackers just itchin' to get one and install linux on it.

IBM has Linux running on Cell, so it's just a matter of time.

The second linux is ported, I'm in.

its supposed to be twice as powerful as XBOX 2. Question is do we really need that much power from a gaming machine?

Sure we do. PS2 owners love to say that PS2 is twice the power of Xbox 1 already, even if the graphics are ugly, the games are not very innovative and most sequels of PSOne games, bad online play and the frame rate is low. It's "128-bits processor, emotion Engine, it's like 2x Xbox's power!", they say... So yeah, it's very important for fanboys

Just a side note, before the official release of Xbox 1, MS did a lot of upgrades since their beta version, so expect some drastic changes before the official release of both consoles.

From what I understand, the PS3's OS is a version of embedix,... either a Linux kernel at its core or FreeBSD...

I like that the thing apparently excepts SD cards as well as Sony's proprietary Memory Stick...
I like that the controller is wireless.
I like that it uses the new Cell processor.

I hate that they haven't put the power button on the front...
Also, I hate how they still don't have a standard S-video output.

I really, really doubt peoples will be willing to pay 500 bucks for a toy. Unless, of course, they can make the games more affordable and free online games, because that's what you get with PC's. And 500 bucks is a hell of upgrades you can get for your PC. I'm not going higher then 300 for a console. Never. Not while the games cost 50+ bucks.
