Penguin?

I don't know if I should know this and I don't know if this has been asked a million times. Sorry if it has.

But I just started wondering, where does the linux Penguin come from? It's great. But why?

hi,

good question ;-)

go to www.linux.org and, from memory, Linus himself offers an explanation. But again, from memory, the explanation was a bit, how shall we say, abstract?!! That said, Linus has a wonderful way with words - the guy's a star!

From what I hear it's because Linus likes penguins. I could be wrong though.
