paper to convice your boss to switch?

Is there any site or paper out there that tells the main points and advantages of switching over to linux, and this is to be adressed to a boss/company.

Why use someone elses paper, research and create your own that is unique to your actual work environment.

Also moving to General as this is not really a technical question regarding Linux specifically.

Like trickykid says it would be best to write a paper yourself or with the help of a friend/acquaintance/coworker that has better writing skills than yourself. To sell a boss on anything new you need to show how specifically how it will enhance your business with preferably little or no cost to your company this is why it is to your advantage to write up a proposal specific to your company. Again this isn't something your on your own to do, having a coworker work on it with you would be a great way to go about writing a proposal, by having two employees name on the paper you show your boss that Linux has more than one supporter in the company, you also show that your a team player (sounds generic and crappy I know but not so much to an employer). For resources look to eweek, newsforge, and the IBM Linux web site these have good articles giving reasons for migrating to Linux and the IBM site has case studies and testimonies. A major concern for businesses is corporate backing in other words if something goes wrong there had better be someone to blame, preferably someone with name recognition ie. IBM, Novell, RedHat, HP.

Also this community is here if you have questions while writing a paper ask them here and when you feel your close to getting done I would not be surprised to find someone here that is a good paper/proposal writer that might be willing to edit your paper for you to help make it stronger.

Seriously, I gave a legit response as did everyone else. You should learn to do your own work and not depend on others to do it for you. There are plenty of resources out there to write a paper most likely to present to your boss, its called, doing your job and not being lazy, no pun intended but you did say you hate me or all of those who replied. Just be happy you got replies, this is a free site and no one here that comes in their own free spare time is obligated to give you answers or advice.

And the next time you make personal attacks to members on this site, you'll have to take it up with the admin of the site to regain your privileges to use this site. I'm making this the first and final warning for you.

Regards and good luck writing your paper to present to your boss,

-trickykid
