Maybe I'm just an old American sucker for tradition, but I cannot seriously envision England not having a monarchy ... You have always had a King or a Queen.

Not ranting here but they've had a real good time for decades.
Time to give back stolen property such as the:
Kohinoor
Elgin Marbles
Rosetta Stone
etc...
North Ireland?

And not only pay taxes on all the property they own but also get real jobs I think.

Seriously, the old man fought in North Africa against Rommel and his troops and would turn in his grave if he knew the grandchildren sees no point in maintaining allegiance to the current monarchs.
Living the good life on the back of others doesn't fly anymore...

Yeah, stolen property - like, perhaps, New Zealand - and Australia ?

This presumes that TRH The Prince of Wales and Prince George of Wales will use Their first given names as Their regnal names. It does seem highly likely – particularly as HM The King continued with His first name as His regnal name despite much speculation that HM would take George (His fourth given name) upon ascending the throne – but it isn't a given.

Correct. I am not certain how widely the new monarch may choose, but the minimum list of choice will be their baptismal names, which are always, as I understand it, at least three...

Which means that in the future, Britain may also get some "King Louis", to complement the long French list of them... (Both William and George are also named Louis...)

It's precisely because of its connections with France that I think that's unlikely. An(other) Arthur on the other hand...

Funny you mention that.
Apparently, if the poms decide to get rid of these tax free super mega rich leeches... The guy who wants to be a tampon to a mule will remain as ruler of Canada, Australia, NZ, etc
It's apparently just the way this monarchy thing was setup...

Yeah, funny I should mention the stealing of lands from the locals - isn't it about time the Brits in NZ went back home ? And Australia, too - isn't it time for the locals to become the owners of what was their land ?

Since we are talking about stolen property, here...

Who knows when they'll vote to become Republics.
But I think that ship has sailed... Canadians tried to erase the locals identity/cultures, Australians did much worse to the locals, NZ was a stalemate... they encountered a warrior race and there was some treaty which the Brits abused to their advantage.

If it starts at home, the Crown Estates should be given to the UK citizens. That would really help with their current economic and social woes.

Just imagine the property tax on that!

Some branches of The Family have arguably even worse characters than Prince Andrew, for example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince...er_(born_1954) I hope he's OK now. And that Spanish geezer. Probably others as well that are not publicly known.

"Prinz von Großbritannien und Irland" - that means he rules us here in Britain and Ireland.

No it doesn't, unless you've time traveled to the 19th century:

So, curiously, the British prince's title is still part of the family's last name in their German passports, while it is no longer mentioned in their British documents.[10] Ernst August continues to claim the style, "Royal Prince of Great Britain and Ireland"

That Prince is apparently the boss royal of all the royal families in Europe, or in other words the Don of Dons.

The Windsors were recently described in a newspaper article as being "stationary pirates", but I think they are more like very polite Mafia.

It is characteristic of the Mafia to provide services you don't need or want at exorbitant prices.

For example here is a full transcript of the meeting between KC and the former Prime Minister Liz Truss, translated from Norman-French:

LT "Charlie, I'm gonna resign."

KC "Ok, luv."

That is what KC gets his billions for, but I'd do it for £10 cash.

I think that, if I found myself in Liz Truss's situation, I would also have wasted no time doing exactly the same thing. "Don't let the door to #10 Downing Street hit you in the ass as you walk out of it." The country can decide for itself whatever it wants to do next, but have no further part of it. This isn't what you signed-up for.
