I'm cool but 52, do you mind ?
Im right around that age myself and one of the things I can really appreciate about linux these days is that since Ive lost my mind due to extreme age, I can just type "whoami" any time at a prompt.
I can also set up cron jobs to remind me to soak my dentures and take my viagra.
Linux is really GROOVY :)

Old age and learning

One of my favorites qoutes is from Leonardo DaVinci who said at the ripe old age of 81, "I am still learning".

The point to all this (yeah beleive it or not there is one) is that Linux users come in all different shapes and forms and yes, even sex's.

Anna.

I can relate to that, my bf certainly doesn't get those same looks of disbelieve and concern from people that I do when they find out we run linux. They find it even more surprising that I was the one to first run linux and not my bf.

It's not just with linux though, last year my cousins harddisk crashed (never buy compaq :tisk: ) and I went to the store to get a new disk to install for her. So I asked for a hdd and the guy just said "ok that'll be three weeks" When I tried to explain that I only needed the hdd and I would install it myself, he visibly went from surprise to disbelieve and then admiration about that a girl would be able to do that!

I've had that happen to me several times!
Also, at computer fairs I'm normally one of the few women that are not just accompanying their partners....

Anne
