oracle8 and 10g


hi all....not sure this is the right place to asking bout oracle...can oracle8 and oracle10 connect each other...?i need to know...if can, how?....

Yes I believe they can.

How? With a database link:

Code:
CREATE DATABASE LINK db_link_name CONNECT TO schema_name IDENTIFIED BY "password" USING 'database_sid'
The "database sid" is the database identifier found in the tnsnames.ora file.

finnally i manage to counter the problem,just like u said using dblink..anyway thanks vasudevadas....what about sql?as i'm concern,both version cannot comunicate each other using database sql,but only sql from developer.!!correct me if i'm wrong.....thanks!
