OpenSuse 10.2 release not covered
Strangely, the release of OpenSuse 10.2 on Dec. 7th was not covered in the news section of this forum. Nor was it covered on /.
Any explanation for this? After all, OpenSuse is #2 on distrowatch and probably among th e two most-used Linux distros in Europe. Given that often alpha-releases or release candidates of less important software get big coverage this is extremely odd. What does everyone think about this? |
I can't speak for slashdot, but there are at least 3 posts under Linux News here at LQ about the SuSE 10.2 release

Ugh, it seems I browsed the wrong forum here and missed the "syndicated news" subforum.
Still strange that there is nothing (if I searched right at least there!) at Slashdot. |
It could be that discussions about Suse these days end up about speculation concerning the deal between Novell and Microsoft and how the Linux community is going to be affected. I have Suse 10 with no intention of ever using any more Suse distros in the future.
