Open Source Imaging Computers

Hello. I know Apple has software that allows the imaging of computers so that it is really easy to install an Operating System with a set configuration. Also, there are products for Windows which are fairly expensive. Is there something like this for Linux and/or Windows that is Open Source? Thanks.

Here's a link I found via Google:

Use A Linux Bootable CDROM to Image Your Hard Drive

Is that what you were looking for?
Good Luck

Yes kind of. As you have found it seems like it is fairly easy to do for linux. Is there any kind of software to automate the process? Either for linux or windows? Is there any easy way to image windows computers? Thanks.

I would think that AlexV's link should also work for Windows.
