Online Webcam

Hello, I am running Ubuntu Server 12.10 64-bit and WordPress for my website. What I am trying to do is to stream my webcam.

I don't know if I have gone about this the right way, I have a gut feeling that I haven't. What I have done is installed and configured "Motion" and I have put this into an Iframe in the WordPress page. It does appear to be working. But I feel I've may be running the wrong software because of all the JPEG files that are created by Motion.

It would seem to me that Motion is more for general surveillance.

Would anybody be able to give me some guidance on this.

I run something with a small resource footprint and with enough functionality for me (fswebcam), I don't know your definition of "best". Have a look at your distribution offers or see http://freecode.com/search?q=webcam&...with=&without= and http://sourceforge.net/directory/os:...ated/?q=webcam

Thank you very much for that. I will check it out and make a comparison.
