one of those weird kinda things

I myself haven't been here long, i Just signed up today Thursday Feb 20, 03. And I noticed the kindship of how everyone talks to each other. I don't understand why people can't be like this all the time, I guess the "NET" has brought us all together. Being 15 and using a computer for everything i do. I've just relized that everyone *i should say almost everyone* that is on this forum (that i have noticed) were kind to each other, I read a post that some guy posted up and it said "We're here to help you all the way" I Just am wondering why people can't say that off the net and start helping other people. heh, I probly sound like a hippie to those "PUNK ROCKERS" but it's true, i've watched how people act off forums, on the streets and in little "AIM CHAT ROOMS" just seems like everyone is in a family some how

 But anywho I just decided to post this because i care :D
And everyone else should stop and take the time to think about it age and race doesn't matter nor does intelligence everyone learns somewhere or some how, just we learn better i from text i guess :p

We don't see each other, have nothing to judge each other on, and more importantly have a common not-so-common ground to talk on (linux); we get along so well because we are all here for the same (or similar) reason - to help people and learn. Also, this forum more than many others seems to portray a more laid back atmosphere, and attracts the more knowledgable AND kind people. The mods do a great job at keeping the threads on topic, and allow alot of 'personalization' in the way things are done. It's structered, but relaxed. A very nice balance, and alot of it is attributed to the way Jeremy runs the site. He's one of the fairest Forum Admins, and is also extremely knowledgable with linux topics.

:)

Welcome to LQ ;)

Cool

Sounds good! Glad you like this forum, certianly the coolest one by far! I've been to other ones, ya know, there's trolls and garbage and stuff, but here ... it's ... just amazing. I post a question, play one game of Tux Racer and I already have a reply. I haven't even found a flame yet! I don't think I ever will. I've actually learned enough of Linux from the members here to start helping people too, that's the best part.

yeah, this is the biggest linux forum i'v seen certainly, the first one i found, and pretty much the only one i still post to as the other ones i didnt't really get replys to my posts from :) i would immagine if you dug deep enought into this forum, you probably would find a few flames that need extinguishing, but all and all i really like it on this bullitan, and recommended it to a friend of mine who sortof has his toe dipped into linux :D
