The convenience of linux functions has really changed my behaviour. I realize that I have built up some aliases for common commands and make use of a number of shortcuts, like tab-completion, very habitually so now when I move to other OS's (say MS-DOS) I miss having all of my custom commands.

Today, I finally realized that I have become WAY too lazy and routine when I typed the first 4 characters of my password and hit <TAB>. :D

I have done that a few times with stuff that does not work with tab completion. Yeah, linux can make you get lazy. :)

You know you use Linux too much when you type :wq! in GUI email applications instead of clicking the send button..

I catch myself doing this all the time.. ;)

lol, I constantly have to check my posts on boards like this because of the same thing (:wq). I keep forgetting that I can't use vi for everything. It's horrible so sometimes I compose a longer post in vi and copy it over... which only makes the problem worse because if I see a change I am tempted to continue editing it like it was in vi.

A sure sign that you are using *nix a lot is when your ~/bin directory contains more than 20 scripts that simplify things or perform neat tricks. Especially if some of them are no more than one command long but exist so you no longer need to type in the command options.

My worst brain cramp is when I'm switching between MS-DOS and BASH sessions... Look familiar?

'ls' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

And lastly... Window focus drives me up the wall and has nearly got me in trouble over some instant message windows.

Ok, I'll stop chewing up bandwidth with little anecdotes.
