While I lean strongly towards linux I'm somewhat unbiased in this OS war, comparison, debate thing that continues to go on but sometimes I have to just laugh when I read BS or garbage like the following on a poster asking whether he should pursue his MSCE or learn Linux and get certified:

You might as well learn some Linux. It runs ok as a stand alone server in some cases. In general it is as functional as Windows 3.1 with some basic network services. I am no fan, but a lot of people use it here and there. It is one more thing you can say you are familiar with.
I would never put Linux on a network myself though. It is really insecure and requires non-stop patching.

I recently stopped studying for a Comptia Linux+ certification due to the SCO/IBM copyright lawsuit pending 4/05{
www.sco.com}.The doomsday clock is ticking on all Linux which in short amounts to a System5 Source code copyright violation.Linus is not that good and neither is IBM{AIX}.Sure,Linux is popular now and after precedents start coming down and endusers find out the hard way that indemnity was never in the cards they'll either cough up the amneisty amount on a known flawed kernel or go with Iron clad BSD as a replacement,if Windows is not required or feasible.Point being,diversity is a good idea but I will go with the original,Unix which will never die instead of the 1/2 baked child that presumes to compete with the parent.
I'm currently working on my MCSD/MCAD for the sake of diversity.
Best to you,

The first one just cracks me up...I mean really. Maybe it was Chris Rock and he was just trying to be a comedian.
