This is unfortunate phrasing. Of course man cannot destroy the planet and people should be more precise when talking about the very palpable danger that humanity could destroy its habitat.
No, that was exactly Dr. Malcolm's (or more accurately Michael Crichton's) point. He finished with "Earth has survived everything in its time. And it will certainly survive us."
at an "active shooter training" meeting in my freezer warehouse we learned what to do if some pricks come in with a guns... the cop doing the teaching claimed anyone who has a Manifesto should be looked at... so now we need black hat Manifesto, white hat manifestos and gray hat manifestos*! We're all idiots just some more than others!
Fuk the media, there'd be far less mass shootings if they couldn't glorify it;;; pricks!
"Highly sensitive people are too often perceived as weaklings or damaged goods. To feel intensely is not a symptom of weakness, it is the trademark of the truly alive and compassionate. It is not the empath who is broken, it is society that has become dysfunctional and emotionally disabled. There is no shame in expressing your authentic feelings. Those who are at times described as being a 'hot mess' or having 'too many issues' are the very fabric of what keeps the dream alive for a more caring, humane world. Never be ashamed to let your tears shine a light in this world." Anthon St. Maarten
I just learned something and want to share it with you.
Albert Einstein did not say verbatim “God does not throw dice” („Gott würfelt nicht”), but expressed in that way during several conversations and written correspondence.
The (probably most) original quote comes from a letter to Niels Bohr:
„Jedenfalls bin ich überzeugt, daß der nicht würfelt.“
“Anyway, I am convinced that (that one|he) does not throw dice”
Up to now, I thought that the answer had been “Why not?”, but here, also, the related stories are not always correct. I should have guessed that Bohr's reaction had been more elaborate :
„Aber es kann doch nicht unsere Aufgabe sein, Gott vorzuschreiben, wie Er die Welt regieren soll.“
“But it cannot be our mission to instruct God on how to govern the world.”
They have been at the origin of so many misunderstandings and dumb errors, mostly not committed by themselves... While “Quotes” can be a substitute for wit, they should be handled with more care.

Reason: I mixed up the quote-marks... OMG! I'll end in puncutation-hell!! Some grammar-hell, too.
**Yellow (gelb) has no association with cowardice in German, as it does in English.
But i was teached that courage and cowardice comes from spirit|personality not fleshbone body.

“Leader want something done right, to do it self.” (Engrish.com)
As often, the best humour is in the comments on Engrish.com. And it appears that most western governments are taking Engrish.com for their new “I-Ging”
(that is for those who cannot but have to put everything in a political context. Humour and self-irony, folks, are both virtues. I could not live without them.)
...
(Sorry. This is not a problem on linuxquestions.org, but somewhere else, where I will not go anymore.)
Politicians, salesmen and trolls go away if enough people stop believing in them. Mind you I could almost believe that some of them aren't real.
Not so sure about this. I wonder if the French had ever believed in (anything at all; but let me keep this on-topic) ... politicians. And while they aren't really there, their actions get us in a big mess. But still, the French do not relate, in an awfully desperate attempt to not bother for as long as possible.
A Paul-Lutus-Quote and exit:
“Poetry builds a great truth out of many small lies, Politics builds a great lie out of many small truths”
