nvidia 8800 gtx power connectors? Uses four power cables or two?

I have an 8800 gtx and I'm trying to install it in a new computer. I have a 580w power supply and an ausus p5k se motherboard. The card was oem so I don't have any instruction manuals and I cant find any on the internet.

It has two 6pin power cables with it that connects to the power supply cables. Each of the 6pin power cables however have two connections on the end so it could connect to a total of 4 of my power supply cables. This seems a bit much though because I wont be able to have a harddrive and cd with the other connectors! I'm thinking that it might only have to connect to one for each and other is just extra or something.

Fyi it can connect with only one 6pin attacked but it wont run at optimal performance. http://nvidia.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/n...i=&p_topview=1 . But even if I only plug in one of them I'd still have to know if I plug in both ends or just one.

edtit (and cliffs) -- here's a picture of the power connecters. As you can see there is one connection to the graphics card and two connections to the power supply. The graphics card needs both of those pluged in for it to run at optimal settings, a total of 4 connections to the power supply.

I have them all plugged in, bought some splitters. That's probably how it's supposed to be because if you look closely at the cables different wires come from different plugs.

Btw 500+ fps for bzflag these new video cards are insane. I get 50-70 on my 6200 gtx.
