Question Not really linux related, but hey [ipod legendary]

Can someone please tell me why the shuffle feature is legendary?

Quote:
ipod shuffle, a breakthrough digital music player based on iPod's legendary shuffle feature which lets users experience their music in a million different ways
what the hell? what makes a pseudo-random number generator legendary? Am I missing something here? It's driving me crazy, and I thought that since everyone knows linux users are intelligent, I'd find out if anyone here knows.

I wouldn't call it legendary (I think thats just marketing speak for popular) but it can be cool when you have a few thousand songs and youre not sure what to listen to. or for parties

Whoops! Wrong general, sorry.

Anyway, still just sounds like a random number generator to me

It's just marketing bile. There are no 'legends' about the shuffle feature, therefore it is obviously not legendary. It might well be a 'popular' feature, or even 'good'. But legendary is just the wrong word.

Of course as we all know, theres no such thing as random. The whole thing is just plain incorrect, we should sue.
