Exclamation Need urgent help please!!!!

Hi everyone im new to these forums and im not entirely sure if this is the right place to post this but I have quite a problem on my hands. I need to find my administrators password so I downloaded ophcrack and followed the guide step by step. I tested the ophcrack software disk on my other computer and it cracked the password in two minutes, but when booted in this computer I got an error that says "could not find kernel image linux" and under that it just says boot: . I really need help and ive even burned a second disk to test again... Please if anybody knows the problem/how to solve it, help me PLEASE .

Hi,

first of all this not urgent for us. And cracking a password is against LQ rules. Reported.

Sorry, but this is quite urgent for me because I need to get back on my account to do work, and to do so I need to find my password again... I just came to this forum seeking help from other memebers and am not very familiar to the rules since i joined a few minutes ago. Reported for rudeness.

FYI

The LQ-rules.
And I especially want to direct your attention to this point:

LedxZep, you're new here so it's understandable that you weren't aware that LQ members aren't allowed to provide assistance with cracking. Now that you're aware of this fact, however, perhaps there's another approach you could use to solve your problem? For example, cracking a forgotten password isn't necessary, as you could simply replace it with a new password. For GNU/Linux passwords, this can be done by booting a live CD and using OpenSSL to generate the new salted hash which you stick in /etc/shadow. Surely there's an equivalent procedure for Windows.

As this is for a Windows password, I have moved this thread to General.

Apparently, Ophcrack works on Linux and Mac OS X as well, and take a look at his post:

Apparently, he has Linux (and a Linux bootloader) on his system. Just why would anybody assume it's Windows just because ophcrack is more often used in Windows than not?

Does LedxZep even have Linux or is planning to ask Linux questions later?

If not, why does he even have an account here?
