Need an EE / RF Engineer!
All, I know this isn't quite the purpose of the 'hardware' forum but this is always my first place for answers. So here goes: I want to begin security testing RFID equipment - especially readers and middleware - and to do this I will need to be able to communicate with RFID equipment as if I were an RFID tag. SO I need a way to talk on a 900 - 930 MHz frequency digitally. My background is completely in CS and I know very little about the hardware specifics involved with RF transcievers.
Can anyone help me out?
Is there a PCMCIA card or PCI card that I can use to communicate (send / recieve) over RF at 915 MHz with another device? I would need a transciever that I can capture raw data streams and reply in kind.
As I mentioned I know very little about the EE side of this problem I'd appreciate any help I can get. If you know of a card on the market, great, please let me know! If not - or if what I'm asking isn't possible, or if I'm asking the wrong question(s) - perhaps you can point me to some educational links.
TIA,
