AS A GROUP, CLIMATE SCIENTISTS are reluctant to claim even the soundest projections as incontrovertible facts. The climate system is by definition exceedingly complex, and theories must always be open to revision as new observations become available. When I was a graduate student we learned that the warming that defined the end of an ice age occurred very gradually, over the course of many thousands of years. This view of sluggish climate changes was shattered about ten years ago when scientists
WWF is calling on European countries to cut CO2 emissions and invest in alternative forms of power generation - because if the temperatures continue to rise at this rate, Europe's great cities may become unliveable.
Personally I think the whole global warming is used to advance hidden agendas that have nothing to do with climate.
But sticking to the global warming/climate change theme:
Anybody have some numbers on what would happen without human interaction?
Why should we believe these numbers?
How do we know when global cooling occurs?
Are any areas benefited by global warming? (if Europe becomes a desert what happens to the water they would have got?)
Are any areas benefited by global warming? (if Europe becomes a desert what happens to the water they would have got?)
I can not give a definite answer to your question, but it seems unlikely that many areas would benefit by climate change as persumably the people living there have a life style adapted for where they live.
I don't think that global warning is used to advance hidden agendas.
After all, if it did not exist surely all the people who make money from non carbon sources of energy could have done something else. However I would love to hear evidence about this conspiracy that has fooled so many people.
Actually I forgot, people think that as southern Europe becomes drier northern Europe will become wetter especially places like Scotland. Believe they do not need more water.
