mysqlsever on linux and access from client on windows

i have installed mysqlserver on linux.and now want to access it from a client running on windows.there i tried to create a new userdsn.And by test data source get error " [MYSQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver] cannot connect to mysqlserver on server1(10061")"!!!could anybody help me to solve this...?
