my linux experience
Hello friends,
I am a new member in this forum, I am also sort of new comer to linux. and this is exactly what i want to speak about. I was a user of the windows siries 95.....to infinity. one day without a plan I stumbled to linux. it appeared to me in the beginning like a rounded, closed thing with no clue on it as to access the treasure inside it. the next stage was when I have found the entrance and once inside you dont know how to evaluate and do anything with it. then a little persistance and walking into the corridors linux becomes a beautiful wild horse in need of a good trainer. each stage came with its rewards and few disappointments. wow.....I will never go back to the MS thing any more. I have actually no time trying to train my horse. |
>>I will never go back to the MS thing any more
did you really mean it? |
Why not? I don't miss MS.

The only me stopping me from hozing my Windows partition is that I have some games which don't run under WineX yet.
On the other hand, I have some Windows games which won't run under Windows XP but run great under WineX - Discworld II for example. :p |
I am unfortunate in that I cannot rule my home as a dictator, otherwise I would blast away winblows like it were working for Darth Vador. But until I can convince my wife that Linux is a FARRRR better OS than Winbloze, I am stuck with a dual boot system.
But I am slowly bringing her back away from the dark side... |
Now see, I have friends that use my PC. They have no choice but to use Linux.
Oh sure, a few gripe that they want Windows, but they do not get it. I figure it is my computer, so i can be a dictator. But more importantly, when dealing with "users", you want a security system installed! |
