Unhappy mouse and keyboard not working

i have a pIII, 450 MHz 32 mb ram 6 gb computer. some days back my smps had some problem and i got it fixed. but since then my mouse and keyboard is not detecting on both windows and linux. i couldnt enter bios setup also using 'del' key. but mine is working on other computers and other keyboard and mouse works on mine. both my mouse and keyboard are connected to PS/2 ports.
please help

SMPS?? As in Symetric MultiProcessor??

At the risk of being really insulting... you sure they're in the right sockets?!? Not that I've ever been so foolish as to do this in the past - honest
