Most Hated Task?

I'm finishing school for Mechanical Engineering, after a haiatus of a few years in the Military. I'm finishing a lab report and I hate writing them, so I'm procrastinating by posing a question to you.

What task do you hate most about your career?

C'mon be honest. Not everyone LOVES every aspect of their job/career.

the fact that i have to do 4 more years of school before i can start mine...

ugh

I'm gonna avoid finishing my lab report in order to answer your question...

breathing .... think about it, you do it all the time, and what do you get in return? if you ask me, we should be paid to breath!

That's true. But things that are blatantly obvious to you may not be to someone else, their synaptic patterns just don't put together the data the same way as you, they need more information before they can come to the same conclusion as you.

The task I hate most, is getting up and coming here (I'm at work now) everyday. I would much rather work from home or the park. I'll have to work on that.

Peace V

Not being able to telecommute.

That and explaining to the CFO that we do not need retinal/thumbprint/whatever other biometric user authorization for PRINTERS.

The people who print up the same email they sent you and place it on your desk. Or the ones who send you an email and you can expect them to be at your desk in regards to the email in a matter of minutes, as if we can't read are email.

This one actually happened today. We have a internal work order tracking system we practically update everything in, in regards to everything we do practically. I created a document and updated the work order tracking for that particular work order it was associated with the path to the location on one of the server shares anyone can access. It was for a tape header type report and I stated in the system with the full path to download or view, that it was complete. So what do I get in email, one of the overpaid project manager type people asking if the document was ready. And then another email asked after I responded if I could email it to another person. I sent both the link that was mentioned in the work order tracking system everyone is suppose to use. Then I got more questions from the person who wanted it emailed asking why the document which is actually a spreadsheet isn't complete. My response was, scroll to the right within the document since it's a spreadsheet with columns that exceed the width of your screen. That was the problem he had.

There's probably a million more things I can list here, but I'm sure most of you have encountered similiar things in your work environment.
